Risk Assessment in Home Care

What is a Risk Assessment?

Your support may include tasks that cause a hazard to you or those around you, such as taking medication, moving and handling or preparing food; all these activities involve risk. It is essential to ensure everyone who uses our services and who work for us are kept safe and healthy.

Our Community Registered Managers or one of their team will assess the risks in your support and record any actions and procedures to be taken to prevent harm. The Personal Carer, Home helps, and Companions will assess any risk as they go about their work. We will store your Risk Assessment in the Digital Care Plan.
